Loss, Grief, Resolution

A 2-day CPD workshop

Led by Dr Wes Wingett, PhD, LMHP

Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June 2014

Finding a Way: Loss, grief, and resolution is a didactic and experiential workshop based on the Individual Psychology of Alfred Adler.  Adler’s theoretical approach is based on the indivisible holism of each individual; personal responsibility for thoughts, feelings, and actions; social equality across age, gender, ethnicity, race, color, class, and creed; encouragement of self and others; and the development of community feeling  in families, schools, communities and beyond to mutually improve the world.

During the workshop participants will identify some losses that they have encountered throughout their lives; what they may have wanted or needed from others during those times of loss; identification of helpful people and resources during the times of loss; lessons learned from an influential individual; identification of personal, assets, and strengths that will aid in the resolution of loss and grief; and identification of specific strategies to manage grief and loss in the future.

Emphasis during the workshop will be on teaching-learning environment characterized by empathy, equality, encouragement, education, and empowerment.

This workshop is suitable for anyone who wishes to address these issues, whether on a personal basis, or as a professional working in a therapeutic or supporting relationship with others.

COST: £120 per person for the two days

£100 for places booked and paid for by 31st March.
